or pay in advance for 10 lessons = $100 (to be used within the term paid for)
Casuals = $15 each lesson

Private lessons are also a good option to have one on one attention, recommended if you start later in each term so you can catch up to the others with choreography & technique.
What to wear in class: comfortable lycra leggings are best, then the tutor can see your legs (especially your knees) to make sure you dance correctly to avoid injury. Fancy coin belts, hip scarfs etc can also be worn, but not compulsory.
Feet: socks, ballet flats, jazz shoes, are good to keep feet clean & warm, bare feet ok.
Sometimes we get hot, wear layers so you can peel of as you go, & bring a bottle of water or two - we get thirsty.

Egypt is the motherland of Bellydance or 'raqs sharki' - dance of the East.
Vicki's style of bellydance is mostly Egyptian, she has visited & spent time in Egypt studying the 'Orginal form' of bellydance, & takes great pride in helping to preserve it.
Vicki is highly conscieous of caring for your knees & back.
If you have an injury before joining our bellydance or bollywood classes, please consult your doctor before joining, & advise Vicki if you have any health concerns before joining, as no responsibility will be taken by Vicki if in any unlikely event someone injures themselves.
Othwerwise we can describe bellydancing as a gentle form of excercise, the more layers & shimmies you apply, the more cardio workout you get.
The majority of dance moves are facilitated from the core of the torso using our internal muscles, having a toning effect.
Bellydance has also been described as a happy tonic, we all go home feeling a natural high - it's got to be good for you!

**** Our dance lessons are here to primarily improve your fitness, your posture, your flexibility, your confidence, make new friends, enjoy the mesmerizing music, learn a little about Middle Eastern Culture, become aware of & learn how to move to interperet different drum rhythms, use different parts of your body to different musical instruments such as the violin, the oud, the accordian, the flute, the mizimar, learn how to isolate your movements & create layers, & last but not least, express your enjoyment, dance from the heart. We all dance for different reasons. Some dance simply for the exercise, some love to dress up in costumes & perform in front of an audience. Students aren't obliged to perform or have costumes, it's simply an option. We are here to help you get the most out of your class, & provide you with absolute quality & professional service.
